Before the movie I screened a home-constructed trailer reel that included the Hulk Hogan Three Ninjas movie, Timerider, The Ritz, and Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn. It also had a ball-trauma kung-fu clip I randomly found on youtube the other day. I think it went over well. The movie itself... hot damn was it awesome. I think it ended up being my second favorite discovery of the night (behind Dangerfreaks). Joe Don Baker gets set-up for a crime he didn't commit, and when he gets out of jail, he wants to even the score. It's very much a Parker-type story, and Joe Don is mantastically badass throughout the film. Halfway into the movie, this guy named Bickford shows up. He's a bald dude with a mustache played by H.B. Haggerty, and he's completely and insanely awesome. In fact, right after he makes his first appearance and delivers a few choice line readings ("S is for Stinker!"), @chasewhale audibly called "that guy just stole the entire movie!" I highly recommend this movie. It is infinitely quotable and will inspire you to be more of a man than you already are. Even if you're a woman. |
